CAD: Heart Ring
Winged-Heart Band CAD Jewelry Concept / Personal Exploration, 2023 Project A continuous ring design inspired by classic American tattoo imagery. A heart with outstretched wings repeats around the band as a negative-space cutout, turning heavy flash symbolism into a lightweight, functional lattice. Role Researched tattoo flash and biker patch references to define line weight and wing geometry Modeled a parametric ring in Rhino/Grasshopper with scalable sizing and filleted edges Checked wall thickness and stress points for castability or metal printing Rendered material options in KeyShot Prepared STL and STEP files for prototyping or casting Outcome Created a production-ready digital jewelry model showing how 2D graphic language can translate into functional 3D form.
